Happy Black History Month from Black Woman Owned

Happy Black History Month, Family

May we honor and remember where we’ve come from, recognize the history we’re making in the present, and blaze a path beyond our wildest dreams to the future.

This Newsletter is Sponsored by Baddies With Business

Welcome to the first Black Woman Owned Newsletter of the year!

It's only a month and a half into the year but it feels like we've been through way more than that. Despite the current attack on DEI amongst a host of civil rights, BWO continues to put in the work to help increase the annual revenue of Black Woman Owned businesses.

Here's a quick update of what we've been up to.

  1. We have officially transitioned from a community platform to a media firm, providing advertising, business news, marketing consulting and original content all contributing to our mission.
  2. Grow with Google workshops are back and we have invited our first ever Attorney in Residence, Nikita Lamar to host her own limited educational series on LinkedIn!
  3. This month we have hit 100K overall views on blackwomanowned.co and are on track to reach that many views this year! Let's get to it, family. The work won't stop.

Baddies with Business is a national network that supports Black women entrepreneurs through storytelling, community building, and connections in years 0-5 of their venture. As part of their community-building efforts, they host an annual in-person retreat that brings together Black women from across the country to learn from experts and build skills through workshops. The retreat weekend culminates with a community bazaar where attendees sell their products and services to the community.
